UCSB’s Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology professor, David Law, will create an innovative project related to global health and development research. The project, “Strategy for development of enteric pathogen-specific phage”, will find methods to prevent enteric diseases in infants by creating phage to identify and kill the bacteria. It will also concentrate on finding ways to fight antibiotic resistant pathogens.
