Those affected by the loss of a loved one can receive assistance at the Hospice of Santa Barbara, notes Kenny Slaught. The organization knows children have the hardest time, and as such created programs like ‘I Have a Friend’. The initiative pairs the kid with an older mentor who also lost a parent at a similar age.
