Kenny Slaught Discusses Key Architectural Trends In California

The city’s most important architectural buildings are Hotel Virginia, the historic El Pueblo Viejo district and the Old Mission’s pink towers. The County Courthouse is made up of colorful tiles that showcase murals. The close by clock tower and observation deck offer a panoramic view of Santa Barbara. The Lobero theatre, built in 1873 and rebuilt in 1920’s, is still hosting events up to this day. Kenny Slaught notes that these are just a few examples of the founder’s detailed city planning.
