Kenny Slaught – Hoover Dam Signifies Daily Life In Western United States

Hoover Dam was built while the Great Depression was happening, from 1931 to 1936. The project cost $49 million, and was first called Boulder Dam. Later on, its name was changed to Hoover Dam as a tribute to President Herbert Hoover who founded it. Kenny Slaught says that the construction is 221 meters tall, 379 meters long, and has a full capacity of 35.000 cubic kilometers. The structure generates over 4,2 billion kWh2 in a year.
