The hundreds of years old Hotel Virginia, El Pueblo Viejo district and the Old Mission’s pink towers are Santa Barbara’s most well known attractions. The County Courthouse features beautiful murals, and the close by clock tower and observation deck give a great view over the entire town. George Washington Smith rebuilt the Lobero theatre in the 1920s, and today it still hosts the best artistic performances in the area. All these structures were only possible due to the city planner’s detailed eye.
