The Hospice of Santa Barbara has a wide range of services for the terminally and chronically ill and their families. Most of those programs serve the needs of the youngsters facing the impending or recent death of somebody dear. It’s estimated that before turning 18, about 20% of children face the death of somebody they love, including one of even both parents. Kenny Slaught explains that the onset of depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can be avoided with the help of this organization and its programs.
