El Pueblo Viejo district in the historic area, the hundred years old Hotel Virginia, and the two pink towers of the Old Mission, the popular spot for retreats and festivals are some of the most architectural focal points in Santa Barbara. The bright hued tiles of the County Courthouse houses beautiful displays of murals and other features. The clock tower and observation area nearby provide individuals with a panoramic view of the whole town. The Lobero theatre not only hosts the regions performing arts events but also goes back to the year 1873 and was remodelled in the 1920’s by George Washington Smith. Kenny Slaught gives these supreme examples of the rich heritage of Santa Barbara, where, because of the founder’s advanced planning, many old-style, architecturally noteworthy buildings line the streets of the old locales.
