Kenny Slaught Notes Successful New PTSD Treatment

Property development , Kenny Slaught recently used his blog at KennySlaught.com to discuss the new state-of-the-art therapy available for veterans at Hospice of Santa Barbara. Called eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), the therapy has been used succesfully to treat veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Using eye movements in a unique way to process trauma and reframe the raw, vivid imagery associated with it in the hippocampus, the brain “re-files” the painful memory and individuals can deal with the trauma in a more objective manner.
